Well this was a sissy project so if you read my sister Ghost you will find hers on her blog. This was a very fast and easy project. I used a "K" hook for the variegated section and an "N" hook for the solid colors or the trim. I used Bernat Miami which I love but is now discontinued. I seem to have that problem a lot. I just discovered a wonderful yarn in my stash "Red Heart Aztec and of course that is also discontinued. :(
I wish all my readers a wonderful Weekend. I will be at Stitches West 2010 on Sunday. YAY!!!

Butters
Well not sure if you all are familiar with the character on South Park named Butters, but anyway my husbands friends call him Butters. Why you say? Mostly because of his facial expressions. So sis found some patterns for sale on the internet for some Amigurumi South Parks dolls and Butters was one of them. I had to purchase it and could not wait to make him.

More info on Just Call Us Volunteers
These hats and scarves will be handed out at the dinner served on December 25, 2010 so we have lots of time. I'd like the items to be sent to me so that I can keep track of the donors and also of the count. We (hubby and I and Luna) will take them down with us in December when we go to visit and of course help out.

Just Call Us Volunteering
The title of this post is a company that my sister-in-law started a few years back and has been so successful. Nick and I have helped out for the past two years prepping the food and getting it to those who need it. This url can show you some of the wonderful things that take place getting ready to prepare a meal for the homeless. This years video is not yet up for our service on 12/25/09 but am sure Julie will get to it as soon as possible. Check out our site at Just Call Us Volunteers.
I'd like to ask for help in making 200 hats and 200 scarves so that we can help out Julie and those homeless who desperately need the warmth. If you can help out and need a pattern please email myself or my sister Diana over at Ghosts Yarn Tales. She has already committed to do some and I am hoping to get other volunteers as well.
Thank you all for giving so freely from your hearts. We have all year to make the goal!
*HUGS AND LOVE*

December Already?
Wow I can't believe that we are almost to the new year. I have not posted in awhile and its because i lost interest and have been super busy.
Hubby and I attended his annual Office "WINTER" Party and we had a great time. I half expected there to be all kinds of decorations that were Christmas themed but to my surprise there were none, not even any Christmas music or santa hats or a tree or anything. It was kinda nice for me since I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses. It shows that you can have a party without all the commercialism. Anyway here is a photo of us before we left the house.
I've been working on many projects and will share them soon.
*hugs* to all of you
