A Hat for Lyra

My friend Sandie over at Crochet Cabana blogged about a little 6 year old girl named Lyra with cancer. She mentioned making some hats for her and that her favorite colors were pink and purple. Sandie mentioned that she was going to make her some pink hats but had no purple yarn in her stash so I decided that I would make a purple hat for her from the leftover Vanna's Choice, purple mist yarn I had from my last finished project, (the shawl).
Here are a few pictures of it. I made it up as I went along and I think she will like it.

Sandie, I will put it in tomorrows mail. Thank you again for the opportunity.

Oh that hat is just way too cute........You did a wonderful job on it, Brooke would love it so I know that Lyra will....I really need to think about making Brooke and William hats, and mittens for this winter...maybe I can even find a felted mitten pattern, that will be better for them in the snow...
Hope you are all doing well.......

Darling....I want to make one or a dozen. I with your sis, please write it up. And don't forget how to make such a cute little flower too.

Lyra will love it. Pink and purple, always a hit with a little girl.

So sweet of you to make it for her. Wish my todo list...things I've already committed to wasn't so long right now. Maybe as I get a few things done I can make something for her too.
