More scarves?

My husband and I just got back from a mini vacation on Catalina Island, Avalon. We had a great time. We flew to LAX and took a catamaran to the island. That was about an hour and 10 minute ride. My first time on a boat since I was a kid. First boat ride I remember, lets put it that way, :). Then when we arrived on the island we headed for our hotel, which was a bit of a walk and at the top of a hill but we managed.

On Saturday we went on a 2 hour bus tour up to the "Airport in the sky". That is what they call their little private airport. Only small planes land/take off there, no big jets allowed. The view was stunning. I will share pictures in another post and tell you more about the trip as well. To be continued........

Below is a few more scarves I made for the challenge. My total now is 11. I made the two red ones on the plane rides there and back from LA. I had a lady at the airport comment on how crocheting was a dying craft. It made me sad but I think it is getting better.

On that last note, while I was on the island Loreen called me. Thats the lady that I met at Wal-Mart and asked if I would teach her and her daughter how to crochet. I was so excited!!! I will call her sometime this week to make arrangements for us to get together.

Well this post turned out longer than I wanted it to be. I will be back to share some pictures from our trip with you.

Your trip sounds like so much fun and I am so pleased that you two are enjoying life again. I can't wait for my postcard. Your scarves are an inspiration to all that see them and the colors are wonderful. I am glad that you finally heard from Loreen. I know you were worried that she might not call. You are one busy lady these days.
