About the afghan in my last post. I do not like putting squares together and this is only the second afghan that I have put together. I know that it is not the greatest looking where it is stitched together. I am working on my technique and hope to get better at it. Any tips or techniques are welcomed.
*hugs*

Beautiful doily. Such a colorful piece! As to joining squares, also not my favorite thing, but I've done a lot of it. For strength, I like whipstitch or single crochet, but I often also use the join as you go. The continuous jayg is good when you don't want a lot of tails to sew in. Goes quickly because there is not starting and stopping and joining.
the doily looks great...I think the afghan looks beautiful. I usually do a sc to join, only because it is faster and I like the little ridge it gives it. I use to join all of my afghans with the Flat Braid, but thought it was too lose, and besides, now I can not get the directions since AOL hometown has closed down, and that is where it was.
The doily is great and what a great way to complete it. As to your join on the afghan for Evan, I see no problem with the way it is joined. It looks fine to me honey.
The ghan looks wonderful Scarlet as does the doily. Beautiful colors. The ruffle is also a nice touch.
Great work sis!
