Celebrating and more crochet

I know it has been a long time since I have blogged but I have been busy, busy. I still have company and will have until Wed evening and then we are leaving early Thursday morning for San Diego and will be back on Sunday.

Well Nick and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary on Saturday. He took me to a real fancy place for dinner so I had to get all gussied up. I am going to post a photo of us from this past Saturday and also one from 2 years ago at his folks 50th wedding anniversary party. This will show how much weight we both have lost. I know that my readers have been curious so it is time for me to reveal ourselves. Here goes....... BEFORE 4/21/06

And Now 6/28/08

There you have it folks. Between the both of us we have lost over 250 pounds. :)

Now for some crochet. Here is a jacket and hat that I made out of the new Red Heart Zoomy, which I have fallen in love with. It is so soft!!.

Right now I am working on a Lace Up Baby Afghan that I know is going to be beautiful. It is done in strips and you have loops on the end of the strips and then you weave the strips together with the loops to puts it together. I can't wait to finish it and share with you. It seems to be taking me a long time as the loops are slow going and sometimes annoying. :) I hope this is all making sense. LOL

I will close for now and thank you all for your thoughts and prayers for my hubby ( He is doing so much better, just a little back pain left). We sure were blessed and I know that your prayers helped so much. Thank you again!!

Back to normal for a little bit.

My brother left yesterday morning so I played catch up on lot of work that I have put off while he was here. I did do some but not enough. I have a busy week ahead of me. We had a good visit but I know he is glad to be back home in his own house with his own rules. I really don't have mush else to say except that I hope I get ready in time for my next visitor on the 24th and she will stay through July second then we leave the morning of the 3rd to go to San Diego to celebrate the 4th with Nick's folks.

I then think that it is for awhile with the company. Hugs and love to all my readers.

Missing the Blog

Well, things around here seem to be back to normal. Hubby is back to work and taking the train again. He is still pretty bruised but not as sore as he was.
My twin brother is here for a visit from Florida and I am enjoying his company even though he is sick. Seems he caught a cold on the plane or is having bad allergies, we can't decide which. We are going to the city on Saturday to take some flowers where we spread mom and dad's ashes.

I have been crocheting lots of baby things, nothing more than that. It's pretty boring here but I'll take that. :) I hope you all are having a wonderful week so far. Let me now what your working on.

A long over due update! The Red Wings have won the Stanley Cup and have taken it back to Detroit!!
I have been doing my happy dance for a week now, they won it last Wed. evening and it sure was nice to be able to share the game with my brother who is more of a hockey fan than I am. I ordered myself an authentic Jersey that should arrive in a few days. I'll be sure to model it for you when it arrives.

*hugs and love*

All is well at our Train Station

Hubby is recovering nicely. It is taking slower than he thought, but I knew. I drove him to work on Wed and he spent the day there and then was sore all day today. Today he worked from home. I will drive him again tomorrow and we think that by Monday he will be good to go on his own. Although he is still in a lot of pain I'd say he is doing pretty good. He has been up and about and we have been out of the house, me driving of course. It's different but we will get back to normal soon.

I want to thank all my online readers and friends for their wonderful support, words of encouragement and prayers. Nick sure had his Guardian Angel working overtime that day. Again we thank Jehovah God for keeping him safe and know how truly blessed we really are.

Thanks again to you all. I will get caught up on my post readings soon.

*HUGS* and much LOVE!
