A Special Request

Hi Readers,
This is going to be different kind of post than usual. I am putting out a request for my readers or anyone else that wants to help in this effort to please make some pet pads for some Feral Cats to keep them warm in this winter cold. Let me explain...

There is a gentlemen in California who is taking care of a large number of cats that are being fed and watered by him in his yard. The numbers grow as more and more strays find their way to his feeding dish. He is an old man and does not have means for keeping all these cats warm.

If you feel this is something you would like to help us with you can write to me at to get the mailing address to send these pads to. That is my sister Ghost's email address, she will let you know where to send them to. There are no special requirements for these pads. They can be made of any scrap yarn or in any size or color. They will be used as ground covers under the cats and kittens.

You don't even have to weave the tails in just leave them out the cats can play with them as cats seem to be attracted by this. You can make them anyway you wish.

We are not requesting food or anything else but pet pads. If you would like to help us out for a short period of time it would be greatly appreciated by us and by the growing cat family. Thanks for considering this request. Sis will post to her blog when we have received enough and I will put a note here as well. Thanks again.

I hope this link works. It is to the Snuggles Project. Just go to the pattern library. There are patterns there for crochet, knit and sewing.

I will see what I can do to help out. Actually, it will probably help my destashing process. lol

I want to help, and "cuddles" are something I love to do....I will find a way to get the postage to mail them, do you want them sent to you or to Ghost? I have both of your addresses so just let me know.....
Big Hugs
(I secretly feed a stray cat, here, he/she usually comes around every couple of days, but in this intense cold I have not seen it around in days, I sure hope it is alright)
